LOWVELD BUSINESS…
is the leading voice of organised business in the Lowveld and a dynamic service to the business community which no Lowveld business can afford to be without. 

LOWVELD BUSINESS…
provides a practical service to business in the Southern Lowveld by providing information and networking opportunities which add value to the business community and by forming partnership with strategic role players, creates an environment which promotes and encourages business growth, development and investment in the region. 

OUR VISION IS…
for Lowveld Business to become a unified, relevant and representative entity for the Southern Lowveld region for the Southern Lowveld region of Southern Africa that will seek to identify, develop and promote economic opportunities in the region and develop strong relationships in the business, political and labour environments locally, regionally and nationally. We will strive to become the preferred provider of business services in the Southern Lowveld.
 

What do we stand for? 

  • We promote the free enterprise system by means of leadership and guidance in the business world
  • We promote the development of an economic and social system based on the principles of justice, the market economy, individual entrepreneurship and equal opportunities
  • We promote the conduct of business by members in accordance with accepted ethical and moral standards
  • We develop a common culture amongst members through participation, information sharing, training and networking to ensure a cohesive and committed membership

What do we do for you?

  • We provide a monthly networking opportunity
  • We hold monthly lunch or breakfast meetings where the business community is addressed by key figures in the community or region
  • Members have access to up to the minute information emanating from organised business at national level, as well as key legislative developments in parliament
  • Members have free access to our membership list.
  • Lobby local, provincial and national government on issues affecting the business community
  • Development strategic alliances with organisations which will be of benefit to the region and which will assist us to promote the region as an investment and tourism destination
  • Facilitate seminars and training courses to address the needs of the business community in the region
  • Process certificates of Origin for exporters
  • Serve as an Export Marketing and Investment Assistance Centre on behalf of the Department of Trade and Industry

How is Lowveld Business Structured? 

The Lowveld Chamber of Business and Tourism is a Section 21 Company which is managed by a Board of Directors. It has two operational divisions, Lowveld Business and Lowveld Tourism. Each division has a Management Committee managing the day to day functioning of the organisation, while the divisions are managed by a full time Business Manager and a full time Tourism Manager at the premises at LCBT House. 

Who can become a member? 

Membership is open to any business that operates in the Southern Lowveld Region, which has the same jurisdiction as the Ehlanzeni District Council, and includes the towns of Nelspruit, White River, Hazyview, Sabie, Graskop and Lydenburg.
